Dec. 4 — School of Nursing postdoctoral scholar shares research with elected official
Sakib Jalil, a postdoctoral scholar at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis, shared his research related to health technologies with Sam Stepanki, the district director for U.S. Congresswoman Doris Matsui. Sakib was one of three UC Davis postdoctoral scholars who met with the congresswoman’s staff to share more about the impact of their research. Megan Boudewyn is a postdoctoral scholar at the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain and Amy Ryan is postdoctoral scholar studying autism at the works at the UC Davis California National Primate Research Center. Sakib conducts research in human-computer interaction, persuasive technology for telehealth and eHealth, user-centered design, participatory design and evaluation of telehealth and mobile health. He applies this research in health informatics in projects related to cancer patients, Kawasaki disease, the aging population and care coordination.
