Melissa Matulich, M.D., MPH
First Year Fellow

Dr. Matulich received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in biology and chemistry, where she also played Division I soccer for all four years. She then lived abroad, volunteering for a non-profit HIV/AIDS organization in Lusaka, Zambia. This experience solidified her decision to pursue her medical degree. She attended medical school at UC Davis, then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. She received multiple teaching awards while in residency and served as the chief of the Northwestern resident ambulatory clinic. She is excited to be back at UC Davis as a Family Planning fellow and to be able to enjoy many of the things she enjoyed before in Sacramento – running, hiking, playing soccer and the farm to table restaurant scene.
